Full Moon Fervor
Put your ear to the bright
night sky,
The flapping of monstrous wings is nigh.
My heart beats fast,
Yet my courage MUST last.
And so the fear subsides
Watch the horizon, from
there they will fly.
The faithful declare "Abominations… DIE!"
My rapier from the buckle's clasp,
Quickly unsheathed in sweaty grasp.
But still the fear subsides.
Swooping down with horrendous
cries,
I catch a glimpse with panicked eyes.
To feathered wing my sword is cast,
Yet mockingly it circles past.
And NOW a fear
resides
In these creatures, darkness
lies.
But 'tis only their exterior guise.
A shout to comrades with a rasp
"We WILL fall to them!" I gasp.
To flee, we decide.
In mid-run, an epiphany:
Destroying them all is necessity.
But what can one hope to do?
When the RAVEN may also be in you!
