Isaac Elys is an
outsider to the lands of Munevar. He originally hails from the Principality
of Gallheric, where his father is Captain of the Guard. After showing
promise to his Prince in Gallheric, he was made Marshall of one of the
communities there. Isaac reveled in the power of his new position and
served admirably, while also serving as the Prince’s hands in matters
he did not want to get directly involved in. His tenure as Marshall saw
numerous ordeals; big-game hunting with the powerful Prince of Jennden,
the incursion of the Baalzy temple in Galleric, Delbin of Delcouth’s rise
and fall from power, the Exodus of the Pholthites, and so on. On his first
expedition, Isaac’s knee was almost shattered by a merciless orc. Isaac
slew the orc after receiving the wound, but still limps to this day. Isaac
had been enjoying his time in Gallheric when Prince Herrell of Munevar
suggested a personnel exchange to |

cement relations
between their two Principalities. Usually this is done as an exchange
of sons, but that being too impractical, Isaac was sent instead. He was
sent in good faith, but also to gather information and protect the interests
of his Prince in Gallheric.
Since his arrival
in Munevar, Isaac has acquainted himself with the local constabulary,
the guards, and the local ‘adventurers’, the latter being the only group
of interest. With these ‘adventurers’, Isaac has seen much more action
and intrigue in the Great Kingdom. Isaac has served as a pillar of strength
and continuity for the group, ensuring victory through precision and quick
wits. Isaac is a master bowyer and fletcher and provides most of the stock
for the groups quivers single handedly. He has started to craft a longbow
that will take advantage of his considerable strength. It is still in
the opening stages, but when completed, will be mighty indeed. While attempting
to rescue Adri woodsmen under siege from Pervost and the Order of the
Raven, Isaac received a nasty gash from a lycanthropic were-beast. The
curse was transmitted to Isaac and is currently seeking a cure. The party
is heading to Rel Diven, and if there is a cure for lycanthropy, then
it will be found there. Due to this curse, Isaac’s current trend of growing
calm and rationalization may be in jeopardy.
Isaac generally gets
along with the adventuring party he’s with. He butts heads with Galen,
mostly because of the Princelings rashness. He sees Oliver and Darcius
as comrades in arms, also as friendly rivals because they share many of
the same skills. Cedric and Isaac see eye-to-eye on many issues, they
seem to be cut from the same cloth. Ryvvik is respected by Isaac because
of his ability to get the job done, no matter the cost. Respect from Isaac
must be earned, and he will let you know if you don’t have it.
Isaac is an archer
who hasn’t seen his equal, he hones his fighting skills in that respect.
This coupled with his natural arrogance gives him superior self-esteem
(read: EGO). He ignores his melee skills, relying on his brute strength
to land blows. He finds using his sword or club to be boring and clumsy,
instead seeking the precision and focus of the longbow. Isaac is very
single minded when it comes to things that make sense to him. Whether
it be archery or religion or merely a battle plan, Isaac knows what he
likes immediately.
When it comes to religion,
Isaac has worshipped the Scourge of Battle as long as he could draw a bow.
After a visit to Chathold, his horizons in that respect have been broadened.
He got into a conversation with a Priest of Rao, and this conversation led
Isaac to see how Rao ‘made sense’ to him. Ever since then, Isaac has been
drawn to Rao almost fanatically. His views on religion are a keen glimpse
into his mindset. For example, Isaac reveres Hextor: God of Tyranny and War.
This corresponds with Isaac’s desire for power and his love of battle. Isaac
also reveres Rao: God of Reason, Clear Thought and Serenity. These, although
unlikely, also reflect well upon Isaac’s personality. Of late, he seems to
be leaning both in thought and in action towards the teachings of Rao. Even
so much as asking Rao’s blessing even before a battle, rather than seeking
Hextor’s blind fury.

Current Events:
- Isaac wholly disapproves
of the term New Order of the Raven most notably because of the
continued existence of the current Order of the Raven.
- Isaac sees Darrien
as a coward who uses poison to undermine his opponents position. It
would be better to simply march his army and try to get what he wants directly,
rather than dance around the point with half-baked schemes.
- Isaac feels that the
new rabble from the Adri wood is only going to create more work for himself.
Many skulls will be thumped before the woodsmen fall into line.
- Isaac is very enthusiatic
about travelling to Rel Diven, mostly due to the presence of a Temple to Rao
there. He wants to learn more about the God of Intellect and Reason: Rao.
- Isaac feels that Istus
has some open hatred towards him, and dislikes all of her cruel jokes at his
expense. (His common response to questions regarding how he got lycanthropy)
- Isaac seems to care
more about his bow and bowcraft than about Galen, and probably Oliver too.
