Luwarb of Baalzy

Whew, where to start?

Okay, first: Baalzy.

Baalzy is a relatively "new" god of the Oerthian pantheon. He is the god of power/prestige and good luck. The priesthood itself wears black robes trimmed in gold, and shaves their heads. The symbol of Baalzy is a cut gem, topped by a crown. Their usual entrance to an area is precipitated by a buying of serfs, whom they "improve" with teaching and monetary backing, as an example to all their brethren. The theory is that peasants just did nothing to better themselves because they didn't know anything better existed. The Baalzites hope to improve the lot of everyone from the bottom up.

Luwarb is a devout member of the Baalzite sect. He will discuss, at length, any tenet of his faith. He usually wears a wide-eyed expression, but by no means should one take him as a naive fool. It would be safe to surmise that he uses his looks to gain an advantage over people too blind to see past appearances.

Recently, Luwarb was seen in Errantkeep, where the word of Baalzy had spread to the nobility. Prince Marrin indulged the Baalzite and kept him at court for some time, long enough, in fact, for his daughter to become enamoured by the brooding priest. Shortly after that Luwarb was seen in Munevar itself, attempting to determine whether or not the expanding principality was in need of "divine aid". Cedric is less than excited about this, but Price Herrell still holds Cedric's opinion in high regard, and bears it in mind during his dealings with the Baalzite.

581 CY: He came to Munevar with an acolyte named Orest and bade him set up a temple. He departed soon after and we haven't heard or seen him since, though we haven't been to Errantkeep since then.
