Darrien, Prince of Dastryth

Darrien is the Prince of the city of Dastryth, a principality to the northeast of Errantkeep. He has recently become a central figure in our lives by demanding the town of Cherrin, which lays to the west of Errantkeep. Needless to say this is mostly a calculated ploy to annoy his brother, Prince Marrin. By surrounding him geographically, he gains a coup over his brother, with whom he has a long running feud. He is of house Naelax, and a blood relative to the Overking.

He also claims that the appointed magistrate that would settle any disputes ovcer land is corrupt and would not find favorably in the dispute over Cherrin. He offered a thousand Ivids to Herrell to turn over the town, a great enticement, but Herrell values the good favor of Marrin more. Then he hired an assassin from the Northlands, Sotirios, to hurt Herrell and turn over Cherrin through force. This plan appears to have failed, thus far, though Dedric was gravely injured.

We battled him on the plains of Cherrin, doing enough damage to him that he could not hold the town. Unfortunately, Herrell's forces were also decimated and it is supposed that Marrin will chase off Darrien's forces.
