| Adamane, Hero of the Bloody Dawn | ||||||
|
Adamane is a darkly tanned caucasian man who stands a towering 6'3". Easily weighing over 225 lbs it is obvious that this is mostly due to his huge muscles. His long brown hair and full beard are peppered with grey. This and the creases at the edges of his bright green eyes are the only signs of his age. Though he will not flaunt his title those who introduce him will always mention it. Which usually ends with a necessary explaination on his part. He is a man of few words, and prefers getting down to action. He will tell pupils that he is planning on retireing from adventureing and is looking for a student to to make his official protégé and inherit his fame. |

He also tells pupils he expects such a person to uphold the ideals the Rangers, that being to protect the people first and the forests second. One last thing he says is that rangers often have a better picture of the grand scheme of things than most folk, and that can be the gravest responibility of all. Adamane was a charter member of a famous adventuring group who slew many goblins on the border of the Bone March, averting a large scale invasion. His adventuring group, the Heroes of the Bloody Dawn, harassed a large humanoid army and killed the goblin King who was leading them. He returned to the Great Kingdom and his friends went their separate ways. Adamane, as a ranger, chose a portion of the Adri to protect and made friends with many of the good aligned inhabitants of the woods. Oliver was led to meet Adamane by Leith of Beory, a druid, and Adamane consented to train Oliver as a successor to his legacy and inherit his titles and mantle. Adamane was instrumental in leading our party to the area near the slaver camp, and putting us in touch with the rangers of the Adri. We have since met Adamane again, giving him aid in returning nearly two hundred foresters to the civilized lands of Munevar. It seems that Pervost's threats were not empty, as Adamane and his rangers were coming under attack from raven-men, whom we were already familiar with. Our help was valuable but not without consequence. It was in this battle we can assume that Isaac and Darcius were infected with a form of demonic possession. Flocktime, 581 CY - Adamane came to us for assitance against the slavers once again. Shortly before the battle of Cherrin, he asked for our assistance in stopping a shipment of peasants from Dustbridge to Pervost. In the course of our travels we fought an assembled force of Raven-men and slavers, not to mention skeletal constructs. Adamane and his strength were invaluable, though he was sorely wounded in the battle. Not that he was ineffective in the battle: he single-handedly beat Koryavin, a fallen ranger, and one of his star pupils; he killed numerous slaver guards and sucked up a not insignificant number of lightning bolts. All this for the lofty goals of Prisstyne's rangers... |
